This is the complete story.

"Writhing, sickly, pale things that descend from great heights on cloudy days, they are an abomination. Civilization should not allow such devestation to exist any longer."

A species of draxie—a type of dragon created by the fae and having fae ancestry—the Plague Dragon is not a natural organism, but a weapon. Created by the Shadowfolk of the

Winter Realm, the creatures were created by dark magic and used against other fae courts. With their terrible, disease-spreading bodies, those who are not immediately killed by their noxious fumes and poisonous fang are not clear of trouble. Scaleless, Plague Dragons' soft skin is a squishy, festering breeding ground for an aggressive flesh-eating bacteria. As it slithers and flies overhead, bits and pieces of its foul hide fall off; the microorganisms can grow on whatever they land on, preferring warm and wet places, or warm-blooded creatures.

The Plague Dragon was used to wrest territory from others. When the beasts began harming their creators, they were universally outlawed in faedom.
